Weddings I'm very excited. My BRAND SPANKING NEW and SUPER COOL blog is almost done! I was told it will be ready by the end of this week, but I have VERY busy weekend ahead, so it will launch next Friday!
The "old" blog will still be available so you will be able to see older posts...
I will have tons of new stuff in my very first post on the new blog, so be here Friday!
WHAT'S ON TAP:
Remember the free wedding giveaway? Well, it's this Saturday! ( maan time's flying...)
After the wedding I hope I'll have time to take a shower, and hopefully recharge batteries. Then I'm off to Utica, NY to do Nadia and Val's wedding on Sunday. I'm excited and nervous about the whole thing. I'm the kind of person who can't fall asleep on the plane. Hopefully I'll be very tired and will get 3-4 hours of sleep, because I'm going straight to bride's house from the airport. ( Please have a bottle of RED BULL ready for me! :))
So! When I say I have a very busy weekend ahead - I mean it :) If all goes well, I should be back home Tuesday with about 5000 images to go trough. Then finish some albums I started this week, do another E-shoot, and then it's wedding - baptism - wedding again the following weekend... Ok I'm getting dizzy now...
MY TRAVEL DATES FOR REMAINING 2009:
July 19th - Utica, NY
August 22nd - Twisp, WA ( I don't know where it is, google it...)
September 14-24 - Addis Abeba, Ethiopia - super excited!
November 21 - Miami, FL - !!!
IF YOU LIVE NEAR THESE CITIES, AND WOULD LIKE TO SCHEDULE E-SHOOT OR PORTRAIT SESSION - EMAIL ME!

Ok, since this is the most typing I've done since the 10th grade, I will add this email from a former bride... I must say, over the past couple of years, I've got about 10-15 of these. I feel like this the strongest one, so I decided to post it here. Hopefully it will help you make a better decision in search for your wedding photographer.
...We got married in 2008 and had a complete disaster when it came to our photography (we did not know about you back then). The day of the wedding was amazing everything went perfect, everything and everyone looked great! When it came to our photos it was a different story. When i got the CD of our wedding photos it made me break down into tears! All the important moments were missed: from my dress before i put it on, to my dad giving me away at the aisle, my husband walking, parents praying, nice group pictures, and any good pictures of us together! You name it, all the precious moments that take place at a wedding we don't have captured! To make the matters worse, when it came time for the photographer to make portraits...
I didn't want to post full letter, but you probably get the idea...
By posting this email, I'm not trying to say I'm the best wedding photographer out there, so hire me. Not at all! What I'm trying to say is take your time, see few different photographers, ask to see the whole wedding, don't make your decision just by looking at 15-20 pictures on the website or blog. Know exactly what you want, tell him and expect the results you were promised.
I know that not all weddings are the same. And sometimes even with the best photographer and very "hot" couple the pictures just don't look as good. A lot depends from you, how you interact with each other, how much time is allowed for pictures, locations and many other factors... But, with all that said, IF THE PHOTOS ARE ONE OF THE MOST, IF NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT things from your wedding, then hire a GOOD photographer and your chances of getting great images of your wedding day are much better :) You might pay a little more, but in the end it will worth it. I'm sure the author of the above email letter would agree with me...
And finally....
Thanks for all your feedback, comments and compliments. I really appreciate them all. I look foward to seeing more of them on my new blog!

Nice blog post Victor. We have had the same happen to us, It is so disheartening to hear these stories. Thanks for bringing up the subject. It sheds light on a significant issue for brides searching for photography.
